I was born in Novosibirsk, Russia, in 1968. I grew up in small city of Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo) about 15 miles south from St. Petersburg. I have two brothers as you might have guessed from the top page. You can find some pictures and details about St. Petersburg and Pushkin on this cite, hopefully more in future. I graduated from the high-school #239 in Leningrad (you can find some information about the school an its graduates here). I received M.Sc. degree in physics from St. Petersburg State Technical University and in 1991 joined A.F.Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute. In 1994 I started working for AT&T Bell Labs (from 1996 Lucent Technologies) and enrolled into Ph.D. in physics at Stevens Institute of Technology, completed in 1996. While at Lucent I worked on design of semiconductor optoelectronic devices and other WDM components for fiber telecommunication systems. You can find more about my work from my resume and publications. As the year 2000 approached, I decided to move on to do something different, so I left Lucent and joined a start-up company YAFO Networks Inc. in Baltimore, MD, where I worked on Polarization Mode Dispersion Compensation. In February of 2001 I have moved back to NJ, where I joined Kodeos Communications. As usual with start-ups, I absolutely cannot tell what I am working on now J. I live in NJ now. My favorite city in US is New York. You can find some useful information about NY on these sites. Thanks and come again.
